Privacy Policy
Aligna
Maxim Bokov (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Aligna mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account information
When you sign in to the App using Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google, we receive a limited set of information from those providers:
- A unique identifier for your account
- Your email address (or a private relay email, if you chose to hide your real address via Sign in with Apple)
- Your name, if you choose to share it
We do not receive your Apple ID password, your Google password, or any payment information from these providers.
1.2 Information you provide
When you use the App, you may voluntarily provide additional information, such as:
- Profile details (display name, preferences, avatar)
- Content you create, upload, or save within the App
- Communications you send to us (e.g., support requests, feedback)
1.3 Automatically collected information
When you use the App, we automatically collect technical information needed to operate and secure the service:
- Device type, operating system version, and App version
- IP address (used for security and approximate region only)
- Crash logs and error diagnostics
- Usage events such as features used and timestamps of activity
We do not use the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) and do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account
- Provide and improve the App’s features
- Authenticate you and keep your account secure
- Respond to inquiries and provide customer support
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your personal information for advertising or marketing by third parties.
3. How We Share Your Information
We share information only in the following limited circumstances:
Service providers. We use trusted third-party vendors to operate the App’s backend (for example, cloud hosting, database services, and email delivery). These providers process information on our behalf under contracts that require them to protect your information and use it only for the services they provide to us.
Authentication providers. When you sign in, Apple or Google receives information about your sign-in activity per their own privacy policies:
Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or valid government request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
Business transfers. If Maxim Bokov is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain data for legal, accounting, or security reasons.
Crash logs and diagnostic data are retained for up to 90 days and then deleted.
5. Your Rights and Choices
5.1 Account deletion
You can request deletion of your account and associated personal information at any time:
- In the App: Profile → Edit → Delete profile
- By email: support@aligna.life
We will process deletion requests within a reasonable timeframe and confirm completion by email.
5.2 Accessing and updating your information
You can review and update your account information within the App. To request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, email support@aligna.life.
5.3 California residents (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights:
- Right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose
- Right to delete personal information we have collected about you
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information
- Right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information — we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under CCPA/CPRA
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights
To exercise these rights, email support@aligna.life. We may need to verify your identity before responding. You may also designate an authorized agent to make requests on your behalf.
6. Data Security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so while we work hard to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us at support@aligna.life and we will delete it.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Effective date” at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, notify you within the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
